347 stranded Manipuris from Hyderabad headed to their districts from Jiribam


Imphal: A total 347 Manipuris to reached Jiribam railway station from Hyderabad on Tuesday morning at around 10 am. After screening at Jiribam, all the returnees were further sent to their respective districts in buses ferrying all across the state.

Out of the 347 persons, 8 were from Ukhrul district, 48 from Churachandpur & Pherzawl districts 53 from Tamenglong district 33 from Kangpokpi district, 24 from Kakching district, 31 from Chandel, 36 from Tengnoupal 22 from Thoubal district, 31 from Senapati district and 61 were from Imphal East and Kamgjong districts.

They will be put up at community quarantine centres for 14 days.

It may be mentioned that 4 special trains carrying stranded Manipuris from Chandigarh, Chennai, Bangalore, Vadodara and Hyderabad have reached Jiribam till now.
