COVID-19 active case increased to 7 in Manipur 


Imphal: With two more tested positive of COVID-19 on Monday Manipur has so far recorded with nine positive cases including seven active cases.

The two persons declared of COVID-19 positive were a woman, 64 and her daughter, 23, residents of Khongjal Village, Phungyar, Kamjong district.

They went to Delhi in February for treatment of the mother. Consulted at AIIMS and was to be treated on April 8. They stayed at Kotla Mubarakpur in a rent house.

They returned from Delhi by road and had been quarantined at state quarantine centre opened at IIIT, Mantripukhri, here.

They started their return journey in a bus from Safdarjung and reached Mao gate on May 16.

All the 2O co-passengers of the bus has been identified, ontact tracing has been initiated, containment will be as per protocol, IDSP, Manipur said in a report.

They have been admitted at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences on Monday.
