COVID-19 positive cases reach 36


Imphal: With two new COVID-19 positive cases detected on Monday at VRDL and JNIMS, Imphal, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Manipur reached 36 with 32 active cases.

Dr. Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, Additional Director & Spokesperson Health Department, Manipur said that a 19-year-old male from Senapati district and a 20-year-old female from Kangpokpi district were confirmed positive of COVID-19 on Monday. They will be shifted to COVID Care facility at JNIMS, Imphal and their conditions were stable.

On the other hand, a total of 448 passengers arrived in Imphal from other states on Monday in four different flights. On the arrival at Imphal airport, they were screened for fever through the newly installed Whole Body Thermal Scanner.

Later they were sent to their respective Institutional/Community Quarantine Centers, where they will remain in the Quarantine Centers until they are tested negative or till completion of 14 days quarantine period.
