Two more tested COVID-19 positive in Manipur 

Imphal, May 30:  A 44-year-old female and a 34-year-old male were confirmed positive of COVID-19 at VRDL, Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal on Saturday.

The woman is from Churachandpur district and a returnee from Chennai while the man is from Chandel district and a returnee from Mumbai.

Their conditions are stable and they will be shifted to COVID Care Facility, JNIMS. “All necessary control and preventive measures such as containment and contact tracing are already taken up,” Manipur COVID-19 Control Room said on Saturday.

At least 580 samples were tested for COVID-19, out of which 400 were tested at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and found negative and the remaining 180 were tested at JNIMS, out of which two were found positive of the virus, it added.

The total number of positive cases has increased to 62 and active cases to 55 in the state.
