Covid-19 cases rise to 157 in Manipur

Imphal:  With the confirmation of 14 more males positive for Covid-19 on Saturday, total number of positive cases rose to 157 in Manipur.

Samoles of those 14 confirmed positives cases of Covid-19 were tested at Jawahrlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal.

All of them are from Kangpokpi district. They are all returnees from Delhi by train. Their health conditions are stable. They are being shifted to the Covid Care facility at JNIMS. The district authority has taken up the necessary precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing, Manipur Covid-19 control room said.

The total number of positive cases has increased to 157 and the number of active cases to 105, it added.

Frontline workers (doctors, nurses, paramedics, truck/bus drivers, police and media persons, sanitation workers, all volunteers etc.) are integral to the global response to Covid-19 pandemic. They are taking significant personal risk and working tirelessly to ensure that people can receive the care they need. They are facing enormous physical and psychological strain.
