22 more test positive of Covid-19


Imphal: Till 6:30 pm of Tuesday total Covid-19 cases reached 304 in Manipur with confirmation of 22 new positive cases.

The confirmed positive cases were nine males and 13 females. They were tested at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal.

They are from Chandel (2) and Kangpokpi (20) districts. All are returnees from Delhi. Their health conditions are stable. They are being shifted to Covid Care facilities in Imphal. All necessary precautionary medical measures like containment and contact tracing are underway, state Covid-19 control room said.

“The total number of positive cases has increased to 304 and the number of active cases to 243,” it said.

Persons probably exposed to Covid-19 active cases are kept in quarantine at a centre/home for close observation for symptom development. Quarantine may be hard for few but very protective for the community. The government is doing all efforts to ease the individual hardships. People in quarantine should follow quarantine rules sincerely, the control room said.
