Covid-19 update: Positive cases surge to 366

Imphal: With the confirmation of 24 new positive cases of Covid-19 commutative number of positive cases has tallied to 366 and the number of active cases to 293.

The new positive cases were 13 males and 11 females whose samples were tested at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal (13) and  Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal  (11).

They are from Imphal East (1), Imphal West (1), Kakching (2), Ukhrul (2), Noney (6) and Senapati (12) districts. All are returnees from other states. Their health conditions are stable. They are being shifted to Covid Care facilities in Imphal. The authorities of the districts have taken up all necessary control measures like containment and contact tracing, said Manipur Covid-19 Control Room on Thursday.

Ten patients (9M, IF) have been discharged today from RIMS (7) and JNIMS (3) hospitals after they were found Covid-19 free on RT PCR tests. They will remain under home quarantine for the next 14 days, it added.
