Two nabbed in liquor raid


Imphal: Two persons have been apprehended during liquor raids conducted by teams of Sagolmang Police Station on Tuesday morning at Pukhao Dolaithabi village.

During the raid 16 plastic buckets (20 litres each), 2 plastic Jars (15 litres each) and 2 aluminium pots containing fermented rice for manufacturing local liquor (DIC liquor) were seized.

Two apprehended persons along with the seized were items will be handed over to state excise department for further legal action, says police.

The police teams were led by inspector Kh. Devkumar Singh, OC Sagolmang Police station assisted by SI L.Kenedy and ASI H. Birchandra Singh along with police party including women police personnel under the supervision of Imphal East SP Jugeshchandra Haobijam and SDPO-Lamlai Ksh. Ravikumar Singh.
