Imphal: Seventy-five persons (41 males, 34 females) were confirmed as new positive cases of Covid-19 from the VRDLs of RIMS (61 and JNIMS (14).
They are from Chandel (3), Churachandpur (4), Kamjong (2), Senapati (7), Tamenglong (29) and Ukhrul (30) districts. They are all returnees from other states.
They are being shifted to the Covid Care Facilities. All necessary medical precaution, measures like containment and contact tracing arc in place, state Covid-19 control room said on Friday.
The total number of positive and active cases are 681 and 463 respectively, it added.
Nineteen persons were discharged on Friday from JNINIS (14) and RIMS (51 after they were found Covid-19 19 free on RT PCR test. The total number of recovered cases is 218. The recovery rate is 32.01 percent, the control room informed.
Covid Care centre, UNACCO, Meitram, Imphal West has now scaled up its intake capacity to 297. Presently there are 210 positive asymptomatic cases in the facilities at UNACCO (167), Bishnupur District Hospital (33) and Ukhrul District Hospital (10), it said.
