Imphal: After a few days a cop posted at Jiribam railway station was tested positive for COVID-19 recently, 28 more cops including four women police belonging to Jiribam police station have been tested positive for the disease on Friday.
There is evidence of local clustering of cases at the Jiribam Police station. “There is no community transmission,” an official information said.
Manipur denizens stranded outside the state have been returning through Jiribam railway station.
On Friday 105 stranded Manipur denizens were brought back by Shramik special train from Mumbai. They left Jiribam in the evening heading for their home districts.
