COVID-19: Recovery rate rise to 55.1 percent in Manipur

Imphal: The recovery rate for COVID-19 has increased to 55.1 percent in Manipur as on Thursday, according to an official report.

In the past twenty four hours, 15 persons (5 males, 10 females) were confirmed as new COVID-19 cases at the VRDLs of RIMS (1), JNIMS (10) and Testing Centre, DH, Jiribam (4). They belong to the districts of Bishnupur (1), Churachandpur (8), Imphal East (1), Jiribam (4) and Tamenglong (1). They will be shifted to respective COVID Care Facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, state COVID-19 common control room said.

It said in the past twenty four hours, 6 persons were discharged from CCCs of Meitram (4), Ukhrul (1) and Kasom Khullen (1) after they were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR test.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1450. The numbers of active and recovered cases are 651 and 799 respectively. The recovery rate is 55.1 percent, it added.
