Imphal: With the confirmation of 132 persons positive for COVID-19 cumulative number of positive cases has surged to 1582 as on Friday.
The new positive cases (82 males, 50 females) were confirmed at VRDLs of RIMS (124), JNIMS (5) and District Hospital, Jiribam (3).
They belong to the districts of Imphal East (1), Imphal West (24), Jiribam (9), Kakching (11), Kamjong (28), Tamenglong (10), Thoubal (8), Senapati (4) and Ukhrul (37).
They will be shifted to the COVID Care Facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, an official statement said.
In the past twenty four hours, 33 persons were discharged from CCCs of Meitram (15), Senapati (51) and Ukhrul (121) after they were found free from COVID-19 on RT PCR test, state COVID-19 common control room said.
The numbers of active and recovered cases were 750 and 832 respectively. The recovery rate was 52.59 percent.
A lady doctor of JNIMS and a hospital orderly of RIMS have been confirmed as COVID-19 positive cases on Thursday and Friday respectively.
