COVID-19 recovery rate improves to 59.65 percent in Manipur

Imphal: With the increase in the number of negative cases of COVID-19 the recovery rate has moved up to 59.65 percent in Manipur as on Monday.

In the past twenty four hours, 74 persons were discharged from CCCs of Meitram (10), Tamenglong (28), Thoubal (3), Senapati (6), Ukhrul (5) and COVID Care Facility of and JNIMS (22) after they were found free from COVID-19 on RT PCR test.

Seventeen individuals (7 males, 10 females) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases at VRDL of JNIMS on Monday. They belong to Churachandpur (3), Imphal East (5) and Senapati (9) District.

They will be shifted to COVID Care Facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, an official information said.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1626. The numbers of active and recovered cases are 656 and 970 respectively.
