Imphal: Forty-six individuals (33 males, 13 females have been confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases at VRDLs of RIMS (30) and JNIMS (12) and SDH Lab, Jiribam (4).
They belong to the districts of Churachandpur (3), Imphal East (4), Imphal West (6), Jiribam (4), Kangpokpi (5) Tamenglong (11), Thoubal (3) and Ukhrul (10). All are returnees from other states, an official report said.
“They are being shifted to COVID Care Facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” it said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1672. The numbers of active and recovered cases are 652 and 1020 respectively. The recovery rate is 61.00 percent, .
Manipur COVID-19 common control room said a website was launched by chief minister N. Biren Singh on July 4. The website focuses on positive and inspiring related stories of COVID-19 by volunteers.
It appealed to the people to visit the website www.manipurcovidstories.org.
