Imphal: A social worker from Andro assembly constituency, Keisham Ningthemjao has demanded to take back all the salaries, emoluments, perks extension from former minister Th. Shyamkumar saying that his ministership was illegal.
Ningthemjao adressing a press conference at Yairipok said he do not have comment against any individuals when former MLA move to quash the Speaker’s disqualification order to High Court of Manipur. People are already aware that he is a disqualified MLA.
Shyamkumar was elected on Congress ticket from Andro Assembly Constituency but he betrayed his own people by supporting BJP, he said.
He won the election as he got Congress ticket in the general assembly election. People of the constituency are ready to give him a befitting reply in the upcoming bye-election of Andro Assembly Constituency, he added.
It is illegal and unconstitutional to appoint Shyamkumar as advisor to chief minister of Manipur as per Article 361(B) of Indian Constitution, he said.
Ningthemjao questioned why the BJP government is promoting such illegality.
As Andro Assembly Constituency has no MLA amid Covid crisis people of the constituency have been facing various miseries, Ningthemjao said.
