Imphal: At least 53 persons were discharged by Sunday evening from different community quarantine centres after they were confirmed free from COVID-19 while twenty persons were reported positive for the disease.
Those 53 cured persons were discharged from CCCs of Meitram, Imphal West (14). RD Wing Lamphel (8) Churachandpur (8). Thoubal (2), Kakching (12) and COVID Care Facility, JNIMS (9).
The 20 positive cases (14 males, 6 females) were confirmed at VRDIs of RIMS (11) and JNIMS (4) and DHs of Tamenglong, (3), Thoubal (1) and Mobile Team, Imphal East (1). They belong to the districts of Bishnupur (1). Imphal East (2), Imphal West (9), Tamenglong (3), Thoubal (2). Senapati (2) and Ukhrul (1).
They are being shifted to the COVID care facilities. All (except two persons, one each from Imphal East and Thoubal districts) are returnees from other states. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, an official report said.
