Imphal: A team of Lilong Police in two separate incidents recovered 6 gm of Heroin powder, a gun, 542 suspected WY tablets and a car and apprehended two persons on Sunday.
The police team at around 3 pm apprehended Md. Wahidur Rahaman, 50, son of Md. Heshamuddin of Lilong Haoreibi Awang Leikai from his residence and recovered 6 gm of heroin No.4 powder and one 12 bore double barrel gun from his possession.
After one hour, the same team apprehended another drug peddler, Md. Aslam Khan, 32, son of Md. Abdulhei of Lilong Haoreibi Sambrukhong Awang Leikai from Lilong Haoreibi Sambrukhong and recovered 542 tablets suspected to be WY tablets and one Hyundai i20 car bearing registration number MN06LA7879 red in colour which is used in transporting the illegal drugs from his possession.
Two cases have been registered at the Lilong Police station for investigation, police said.
