Imphal: Manipur education minister Dr Thokchom Radheshyam Singh on Thursday chairs a meeting with key officials for effective implementation of New Education Policy, 2020.
The meeting was held at the conference hall of Samagra Siksha Manipur, Babupara.
Oficials of education department (both schools and university and higher education) SCERT, CHOSEM and BSEM to chalk out modalities for effective implementation of thr new education policy.
Commissioner (university and higher education and SCERT) M. Harekrishna Singh, and commissioner (school education) T. Ranjit Singh were present in the meeting.
Radheshyam apprised about the Video conference held with the HRD minister on Tuesday and the necessity of working collectively and in a strategic manner for effective implementation of National Education Policy, 2020.
The minister also emphasised on the need for a thorough understanding of the policy by all stakeholders and solicited cooperation from all quarters particularly, educationists, teachers, teachers associations, student bodies and all stakeholders.
He informed that a task force consisting of all core functionaries will be constituted at the earliest for effective implementation of the policy in letter and spirit.
