41 positive, 76 negative for Covid-19

Imphal: In Manipur 41 Covid-19 positive cases persons including seven personnel from Central Armed Police Force have been registered in the past 24 hours til 5 pm of Wednesday.

The new positive cases are from VRDL, RIMS – 13; Babina Diagnostic – 3; Imphal West RAT – 11; DH Jiribam – 1; Kangpokpi – 2; DH Churachandpur – 5; DH Thoubal – 5. They are from Imphal West – 13; Thoubal – 6; Imphal East – 1; Churachandpur – 1; Noney – 5; Kakching – 3;Kamjong – 4. 7 out of the general population are returnees from other states (3 – Kakching, 3 — Kamjong, 1 – Noney) and the rest 27 are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the Covid Care facilities,Covid-19 common control room said.

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.

It said there was no report of death so far. The cumulative number of deaths is 12.

In the past 24 hours, 76 persons were discharged. They are from CAPF (2), RIMS (4), CCCs of Meitram (23), Ukhrul (11), Thoubal (11) and RD Wing (25) after they were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR test, the control room said.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 3982 (General Population —3086 and Central Security Personnel – 896). The cumulative number of discharged cases is 2231 (General Population – 2059 and Central Security Personnel-172). The number of active cases is 1739 (General Population-1015 and Central Security Personnel – 724). The recovery rate is 56.02 percent.

The state government had constituted a 24×7 Hospitalization Helpline Number operated through State Health Agency (SHA). In the past three days, SHA attended to more than 250 cases. Any person facing difficulty to get emergency services or admission in hospitals, may contact the toll free No. 1800-103-2015 for assistance, the control room said.
