Army display band as curtain raise of Independence Day

Imphal: As a curtain raiser to 74th Independence Day celebrations the Indian Army organised a ‘colourful’ band display ‘to honour the Covid warriors’ at MR Ground in Imphal on Wednesday.

The military bands presented an impressive Band Concert in honour of Covid warriors of Manipur in recognition of their services and dedication in their fight against the pandemic. The martial tunes played by the pipe bands of Army induced a patriotic fervour in the event which mesmerised and enthralled a large number of Covid warriors and citizens.

The event was graced by chief secretary, Dr Rajesh Kumar, Maj Gen V T Mathew, GOC 57 Mountain Division, Lt Gen K H Singh (retd) and many others distinguished civil dignitaries also attended the event.
