Imphal: MLA Md. Fazur Rahim is now recovered said Manipur Covid-19 common control room on Wednesday.
Fajur Rahim was found Covid-19 positive after his return from Delhi on August 10. He was under home isolation at his residential quarters at Babupura, Imphal. He was found Covid 19 free on Tuesday, the control room said.
In the past 24 hours, 55 persons from general population and 56 personnel from Central Armed Police Force were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases. The positive cases are from VRDL, JNIMS – 56; Imphal West RAT – 13; Bishnupur RAT – 1; Churachandpur RAT – 10; Ukhrul RAT – 10; Babina Diagnostics – 21. They are from Imphal West – 26; Imphal East – 18; Bishnupur – 1; Thoubal —1; Kakching – 2; Churachandpur — 5; Chandel —1; Pherzawl – 1, the control room said.
Seven persons (Pherzawl -1, Chandel – 1, Churachandpur – 5) out of the general population are returnees from other states and the rest 48 are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.
The cumulative number of deaths is 18.
In the past 24 hours, 96 persons were discharged. 4. They are from CAPF (66), JNIMS (15), CCC Lamboikhongngangkhong (15) after they were found Covid-19 free on RT PCR test.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 4876 (general lopulation -3599 and central security oersonnel – 1277). The cumulative number of discharged cases is 2885 (general oopulation — 2545 and central security oersonnel – 340). The number of active cases is 1973 (general population -1037 and central security personnel – 936). The recovery rate is 59.16 percent, the control room said
