Imphal: “There is no official report of any death due to Covid 19 today from any part of the State. The cumulative number of deaths is 18,” state Covid-19 common control room said on Thursday evening.
It said in the past 24 hours, 49 persons including nine personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases.
The positive cases are from VRDL, RIMS — 2; JNIMS – 8; JNIMS RAT —1; Imphal West RAT – 8; Bishnupur RAT — 2; Ukhrul RAT — 1; Thoubal RAT – 3; Babina Diagnostics – 24. They are from Imphal West – 19; Imphal East – 6; Bishnupur – 4; Chandel — 1; Ukhrul — 2; Senapati — 1; Thoubal — 7. All the 40 persons of the general population are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities, it added.
“All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” the control room said.
In the past 24 hours, 117 persons were discharged. They are from CAPF (70), Covid care centre UNACCO (47) after they were found Covid-19 free on RT PCR test, it added.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 4925 (general oopulation -3639 and central security oersonnel – 1286). The cumulative number of discharged cases is 3002 (general oopulation — 2592 and central security oersonnel – 410). The number of active cases is 1905 (general oopulation -1030 and central security personnel – 875). The recovery rate is 60.95 percent.
