The programme conducted specially for the college principals, teachers along with the officials concerned of the directorate discussed the higher education sectors with respect to the National Education Policy, 2020.

The minister said with the new education policy approved by the Union Cabinet on 29, July 2020, series of brainstorming discussions are being organised with the stakeholders to find best possible ways for effective implementation of the education policy in the state.

The sensitisation programme focused on the different provisions of higher and technical education – the colleges, universities and role of the teachers – that may be needed to be addressed and ensuring the preparedness for transforming higher education institutions into multidisciplinary universities, colleges and HEI clusters, he added.
