Manipur Covid-19 update: 152 tested positive, 53 recovered

Imphal: Out of 152 persons who were confirmed as new positive cases for Covid-19, as on Sunday, 101 Manipur locals have no travel history.

State Covid-19 common control room said in the past 24 hours, 133 persons population and 19 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases.

The positive cases are from VRDL, RIMS 6; VRDL, JNIMS 23; Christian Hospital – 2; CMC 1; Bishnupur 1; Imphal Hospital – 1; Ukhrul – 5; Raj Medicity – 1; Mother’s Care 1; STDC/IRL – 2; Babina – 26; Imphal West RAT- 37; Thoubal 16; Shija – 1; Churachandpur-6;
Imphal East – 5; Kakching 18. They are from Imphal West – 49; Imphal East 24; Tengnoupal – 4; Thoubal 20; Ukhrul – 6; Kangpokpi – 1; Chandel – 1; Churachandpur – 7; Senapati – 1; Kakching -18; Bishnupur – 2.

The control room said 32 persons (Senapati – 1, Tengnoupal – 4, Churachandpur – 1, Imphal East – 2, Ukhrul returnees from other states while the rest 101 are locals without any significant travel history.

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.

In the past 24 hours, 53 persons were discharged  from CAPF (19), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (20), RIMS
(7), JNV Chandel (4) and JNIMS (3) after they were found Covid-19 free on RT PCR test.

The cumulative number of death is 28, cumulative positive cases is 6112, cumulative number of recovered cases is 4239, number of active cases is 1845 including 729 central security personnel. The recovery rate is 69.35 percent, the control room said.

Under the sponsorship and guidance of directorate of health services and National Health Mission, district administration, Imphal West has started Miking activities on Covid-19 preventive measures and penalties for violating the Covid 19 guidelines in the most affected areas of the district.
