3 SDCs suspended

Imphal: Manipur government has suspended three sub deputy collectors (SDC) allegedly for involvement in registering fake beneficiaries under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme in Bisnupur district.

The officers are Robert Okram, LA/SDC, Bishnupur, Salam Bimoljit Singh, LA/SCD (HQ), DCs Office, Thoubal and Kh Rahina Shahni, LA/SCD, Lilong.

Deputy secretary  (revenue) L. Geetchandra Singh in the name of Governor of Manipur issued an order on Monday to suspend the SDCs.

The order said the SDCs are under suspension with immediate effect.

During the period of suspension they should not leave the headquarters without obtaining prior permission from the competent authority, the order added.
