Imphal: As on Wednesday evening 125 persons including two personnel from Central Armed Police Force have been confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases.
The positive cases are from VRDL, RIMS – 7; VRDL, JNIMS 2; Raj Medicity – 8; Babina Diagnostics – 9; Imphal West- 30; Jeevan Hospital- 2; Advance Hospital – 1; Maipakpi – 1; Kakching – 3; Bishnupur – 16; Shija Hospital – 2; Imphal East RAT – 5; Thoubal – 10; Churachandpur – 28; Imphal Hospital – 1. They are from Imphal West – 40; Imphal East -18; Thoubal 14; Bishnupur 17; Chandel – 1; Churachandpur – 28; Kakching -5.
All are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Covid-19 common control room said.
It said in the past twenty-four hours, 157 persons were discharged after they were found Covid-19 free on RT PCR test.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 6507 (general population -4905 and central security personnel -1602). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 4607 (general population-3660 and central security personnel – 947). The number of active cases is 1871 (general population – 1218 and central security lersonnel -653).
The cumulative number of deaths is 29. The recovery rate is 70.80 percent.
Miking is being continued in Imphal West. The
areas are Dharmashala Bazar, Konthoujam Lairembi, Samurou Area, Lamdeng Khunou, Taothong Khunou, Hiyangthang Pallak, Lamsang Thong Maning, Watham Leirak, Thangmeiband, Wahengbam Leikai, Keisampat Leimajam Leikai and Kwakeithel Takhellambam Leikai, the control room said.
