DM College students demand to appoint nodal officer


Imphal: Dhanamanjuri Community College Students’ Representative Committee has demanded the Manipur government to immediately appoint a nodal officer of Dhanamanjuri Community College.

A group of students under the umbrella of the students’ representative committee on Thursday staged a ‘peaceful’ demonstration at the college complex demanding the same.

Convenor of the newly formed 18-member committee, Somi Takhellambam said as the government fails to appoint a nodal officer of Dhanamanjuri Community College the academic process remains at standstill. Semester exams results have not been declared, online classes have not been taken up and no process to begin new session has been taken up.

The demonstrators held playcards embedded with their demands to save the career of the students.

They drew the attention of the government specially education minister for the solution at the earliest.
