Imphal: In Manipur, as on Saturday evening, one male aged 65 years of Thoubal district expired at JNIMS from Covid-19 and other co-morbid conditions, while 184 persons were tested positive of the disease and 76 persons were recovered.
Of the total new positive cases 24 belong to the Central Armed Police Force.
Only six positive cases from Noney district were returnees from other states while the rest 154 are of the general public were locals without any significant travel history.
They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, state’s Covid-19 common control room said.
The cumulative number of deaths is 36. The cumulative number of positive cases is 6883, cumulative number of recovered cases is 4975. The number of active cases is.The recovery rate is 72.27 percent.
Awareness Campaign on Covid-19 in and around Imphal is being done to create awareness among the people about preventive measures, home isolation, different helpline numbers and also about the availability of online consultation facilities available in the state and districts, the control room said.
