Imphal: A total of 209 Covid-patients were recovered in the past 24 as on Friday evening (5 pm) while 109 were tested positive for the contagion.
In the past 24 hours, 209 persons were discharged after they were found Covid-19 free on RT PCR test, state Covid-19 common control room said.
The recovery rate has moved up to 79.19 percent.
Out of the new positive cases eight were from Central Armed Police Force. Ninety-eight are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 7579 (general population -5807 and central security personnel -1772). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 6002 (general population -4535 and central security personnel – 1467). The number of active cases is 1533 (general population -1231 and central security personnel – 302). The cumulative number of deaths is 44, the control room said.
