Manipur Covid-19 update: 96 tested positive, 149 recovered

Imphal: In past 24 hours as on Monday evening (5 pm) 96 persons were tested positive for Covid-19 while 149 patients were recovered from the disease.

The recovery rate has climbed up to 79.53 percent.

The new positive cases were from RIMS RTPCR – 5; JNIMS RTPCR — 23; Chandel — 4; Ukhhrul — 2; Imphal East — 6; Little Clinic — 1; Imphal West -7; Noney — 3; Raj Medicity — 1; Thoubal — 14; Churachandpur — 8; Kangpokpi – 1; Bishnupur — 1; Jiribam — 5; Babina Diagnostics — 8; Tamenglong — 2; Samaritan — 2; Raj Medicity —3. They are from Imphal West – 16; Imphal East — 17; Thoubal -20; Churachandpur —10; Kangpokpi — 1; Bishnupur — 1; Noney — 3; Chandel -5; Ulchrul — 2; Jiribam — I; Tamenglong — 2.
Twelve persons (Noney — 3; Tamenglong — 2, Churachandpur — 4, Ukhrul — 1, Imphal West – 2) out of the general population is a returnee from other state while the rest 66 are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, state Covid-19 common control room said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 7971 (general population — 6141 and central security personnel -1830). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 6340 (general population – 4815 and central security personnel -1525). The number of active cases is 1585 (general population — 1283 and central security personnel -302).
