239 tested positive for Covid-19, one expired, 78 recovered

Imphal: In Manipur as on Tuesday evening 224 persons from general population and 15 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases.

One 69 years old male patient passed away at RIMS. The commutative number of Covid-19 related death reached 47.

The positive cases are from RIMS – 26; JNIMS — 35; Imphal West RAT (116); Raj Medicity (4); Thoubal (2); Ulchrul (1); Tengnoupal (1); Churachandpur (3); Imphal East (10); Bishnupur (14); Kakching (1); Chamber (1); Senapati (2); STDC/IRL TrueNat (1); Jivan Hospital (1); Jiribam (1); Babina Diagnostics (11); Hillside Hospital (1); Chamber (1); Tamenglong (2); Raj Medicity (4); Imphal Hospital (1). They arc from Imphal West – 148; Imphal East- 43; Thoubal – 5; Tengnoupal — 2; Ukhrul — 3; Kakching — 4; Tamenglong – 2; Churachandpur — 3; Bishnupur -14.

All the general population are locals without any significant travel history. They am being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, state Covid-19 common control room said.

The cumulative number of positive cases rose to 8210 and that of recovered cases to 6418. The number of active cases was 1745 .

The recovery rate was 78.17 percent.
