Imphal: Two male Covid-19 injected patients of the same ages of 63 years belonging to Imphal East and Thoubal district and a 38 years old female from Thoubal district passed away at JNIMS and RIMS respectively in the past 24 hours as on Thursday 5 pm.
During the period 110 persons (75 males, 35 females) from general population were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases.
The cumulative number of deaths is 51.
The positive cases are from VRDL, JNIMS – 12; Imphal West RAT – 13; Churachandpur – 6; Thoubal – 11; Raj Medicity – 4: Noney -6; Mother’s Care – 2;
Imphal East RAT – 5; Bishnupur – 4; Imphal West RAT – 25; Tengnoupal 1; Babina Diagnostics – 8; RD Wing – 3; Shija Hospital – 1; Raj Medicity – 9. They are from Imphal West – 46; Imphal East- 29; Thoubal – 14; Churachandpur -7, Bishnupur – 4; Noney -6; Tengnoupal – I; Bishnupur – 1; Senapati 2.
Six persons (IE – 4, Churachandpur – 1, IW – 1) out of the general population are returnees from other states while the rest 104 are locals without any significant travel history, Covid-19 common controlroom said.
They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.
In the last 24 hours, two males (both aged 63 yrs, Imphal East and Thoubal) and one female (38 yrs from Thoubal) expired at JNIMS (2) and RIMS (1) respectively.
In the past 24 hours, 18 persons were discharged from CAPF (1), RIMS (3), PR Kakching (4), TK Ukhrul (4), JNV Chandel (1) and RD Wing (5) after they were found Covid-19 free on RT PCR test, the control room said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 8430, that of recovered cases is 6539 and the number of active cases is 1840 (general population – 1536 and central security personnel -304). The recovery rate is 77.56 percent.
