Imphal: Manipur on Wednesday recorded a total recovery of 221 Covid-19 patients bringing the recovery rate to 75. 81 percent.
In the past 24 hours, 221 persons were discharged from CAPF (32), RIMS (5), UNACCO (98), CCC Thoubal (51), TK Ukhrul (3), CCC JNV Chandel (4), CCC Lamding Thoubal (25) and CCC Kangpokpi (3) after they were found Covid-19 free on RT PCR test, Covid-19 common control room said on Wednesday evening.
It said 77 persons from general population and 19 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as ne Covid-19 positive cases in the past 24 hours.
The positive cases are from RIMS – 26; Christian Hospital – 1, Swiss – 1; Raj Medicity 7; Thoubal – 1; Chandel – 3; Babina Diagnostics 11; Jiribam – 3; Kangpokpi – 13; Churachandpur – 3; Imphal East RAT – 8; Kakching – 8; Advance Hospital – 4; Senapati – 1; Shija – 6. They are from Imphal West – 24; Imphal East-19; Kakching – 10: Senapati – 1; Thoubal – 12, Bishnupur – 1; Kangpokpi – 1; Churachandpur – 4; Tamenglong – 1; Chandel – 1; Jiribam – 3, it added.
Ten persons (Imphal East – 5, Senapti – 1, Thoubal – 1, Chandel – 1, Churachandpur -2) out of the general population are returnees from other states while the rest 67 are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All
necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place the control room said.
During the 24 hours, two males aged 5 years (Kangpokpi) and 53 years (Imphal West) expired at Shija Hospital due to Covid -19 and other co-morbid conditions. The cumulative number of deaths is 62, it added.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 9376. The number of active cases is 2206 (general population – 1873 and central security personnel -333).
