Manipur Covid-19 recovery rate crosses 77 percent

Imphal: With the recovery of 261 patients from Covid-19 the recovery rate has moved to 77. 26 percent in Manipur on Thursday.

In the past twenty-four hours, 261 persons were discharged from CAPF (16), RIMS (2), CCC (covid care centre) Kasom Khullen (1), RD Wing (6), CCC Lamding Thoubal (10), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (206), TK Ukhrul (2) and CCC Thoubal (18) after they were found Covid-19 free on RT PCR test,  Covid-19 common control room said.

During the period till Thursday 5 pm 161 persons 30 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases.

The positive cases are from RIMS – 53; JNIMS – 26; Ukhrul RAT -8; Kangpokpi –2; Mother’s Care – 3; Advance Hospital – 2; Imphal Hospital – 1; Babina Diagnostics -9; Raj Medicity – 9; Imphal East RAT-13; Thoubal RAT -8; Kamjong RAT – 1; Churachandpur RAT 20; Bishnupur RAT 7; Kakching 1; Senapati RAT 1, the control room said.

They are from Imphal West – 33; Imphal East – 34; Thoubal – 16; Kamjong – 1; Kakching – 9; Senapati – 1; Ukhrul – 8; Bishnupur – 7; Chandel – 1; Churachandpur – 21, it added.

“Seven persons (IE – 5; Ukhrul – 2) out of the general population are returnees from other states while the rest 124 are locals without any significant travel history, ” it said.

They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 9537. The number of active cases is 2106 (general population – 1759 and central security personnel – 347. The cumulative number of deaths is 62, the control room said.
