Manipur Covid-19 update: 233 recovered, 254 tested postive, one expired

Imphal: In the past 24 hours till 5 pm of Friday, 233 persons were recovered from Covid-19, 254 including 58 central security personnel were tested positive while a lady expired due to the disease.

Manipur Covid-19 common control room said 233 persons were discharged from CAPF (2), RIMS (2), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (142). RD Wing (16), UNACCO (41), JNIMS (4), CCC Lamding Thoubal (2), PR Kakching (13), Senapati (1), NIELIT Churachandpur (6) and Lanva Churachandpur (4) after they were found Covid-19 free on RT PCR test.

The new positive cases are from RIMS – 62; JNIMS – 50; Imphal West -63; Ukhrul – 2: Raj Medicity – 5; Thoubal- 6; Shija Hospital -7; Maipakpi Hospital – 1; Tengnoupa -7; Churachandpur – 11; Imphal East – 2; Tamenglong – 6; Bishnupur – 3; Kangpokpi-2; Iboyaima Hospital – 1; CMC Koirengei – 1; Hillside Hospital – 1; Advance Hospital – 1; Babina Diagnostics – 11: Kakching – 12.

The general population are from Imphal West – 127; Imphal East – 13; Churachandpur – 11; Bishnupur – 5; Thoubal 12, Kakching – 12; Kangpokpi – 1; Tamenglong -7; Tengnoupal – 6; Ukhrul – 2. Two persons (Bishnupur -1, IE-1) are
returnees from other states while the rest 194 are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical
precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.

In the last 24 hours, one female aged 55 years from Bishnupur expired at RIMS. The cumulative number of deaths is 63, it added.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 9791. The number of active cases is 2126 (general Population – 1723 and central security personnel -403). The recovery rate is 77.64 percent.
