Imphal: A total of 248 fresh Covid-19 positive cases including 68 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) was confirmed in 24 hours till Sunday 5 pm.
According to Covid-19 common control room the positive cases were from RIMS –64; JNIMS – 87; Ukhrul – 4; Raj Medicity – 10; Shija Hospital – 6; CMC – 1; Bishnupur – 4; Hillside Hospital – 1; Little Clinic – 1; Iboyaima Hospital – 1; Tamenglong – 3; Imphal West – 29; Thoubal – 7, Kangpokpi- 1; Kakching – 4; RD Wing -2; Senapati – 1; Jiribam – 1; Babina Diagnostics – 15; Imphal East – 6.
The positive cases from general population were from Imphal West – 105; Thoubal – 9; Kamjong – 1; Senapati – 1; Jiribam – 1; Churachandpur – 1; Ukhrul – 4; Imphal East – 35, Kangpokpi – 1; Kakching – 4; Chandel -7, Bishnupur – 8; Tamenglong – 3.
“Five persons (Ukhrul -1; IW – 4) are returnee from other state while the rest 175 are locals without any significant travel history,” the control room said.
They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.
The cumulative number of deaths is 64, it said.
In the past 24 hours, 195 persons were discharged from CAPF (17), RIMS (17), UNACCO (76), RD Wing (7), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (65), JNIMS (11), TK Ukhrul (1) and DH Chandel (1) after they were found Covid-19 free on RT PCR test, it added.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 10299 (general population – 8090 and central security personnel -2209). The number of active cases is 2359 (general population 1898 and central security personnel – 461). The recovery rate is 76.47 percent, the control room said.
