Imphal: A total of 157 persons from general population and 21 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases on Monday.
The new positive cases were from RIMS 40; JNIMS – 62; Swiss Hospital – 1; Jivan Hospital 2; Kangpokpi – 7; Thoubal – 15; Chandel – 2; Horizon Hospital – 1; Noney – 11; Babina Diagnostics – 5; Churachandpur – 6; Imphal East – 2; Bishnupur -2; Jiribam – 1; Tamenglong – 17; Raj Medicity-3; Chandel – 1.
The positive cases from general population were from Imphal West -33; Imphal East – 58; Bishnupur – 2; Thoubal – 17; Churachandpur – 6; Kakching – 6; Kangpokpi – 3; Chandel – 4; Tamenglong – 17; Noney – 11. Only one from Imphal East was a returnee from other state while the rest 156 are locals without any significant travel history.
“They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” stateCovid-19 common control room said.
With no report of death tumulative number of deaths remained 64.
In the past 24 hours, 106 persons were discharged from CAPF (O), RIMS (4), UNACCO (29), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (40), CCC Senapati (2), CCC Thoubal (20), CCC Bishnupur (9) and CCC INV
Chandel (2) after they were found Covif-19 free on RT PCR test.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 10477. The number of active cases is 2431 (general population -1949 and central security personnel – 482). The recovery rate is 76.18 percent, the control room said.
