Imphal: As on Tuesday 231 persons from general population and 38 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases.
The new positive cases are from RIMS – 33; JNIMS – 42; Kamjong – 6; Noney – 15;Kakching -2; Swiss Hospital – 1; Jiribam – 4: Imphal West – 20; Raj Medicity – 10; Shija Hospital – 7; Imphal East – 5; Bishnupur – 1; Mother’s Care – 2; Senapati – 1; Churachandpur – 3; RD Wing -2; Tamenglong – 30; Kangpokpi – 5; Tengnoupal-10; Thoubal – 43; Ukhrul 1; Chandel 3; Babina Diagnostics – 17; Samaritan
Hospital -1; Hillside Hospital -1; CMC Hospital -1; Imphal Hospital – 1.
The positive cases from general population are from Imphal West – 53: Imphal East -44; Tengnoupal – 9; Ukhrul – 1; Tamenglong – 40; Kangpokpi – 2; Kamjong – 7; Noney – 15; Kakching -2, Jiribam – 4; Bishnupur – 2: Senapati -1; Churachandpur- 2; Thoubal – 49.
Four persons (Kakching -1, IE 3) are returnees from other states while the rest are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Covid-19 common control room said.
It said in the last 24 hours, one male aged 51 years from Imphal East expired at JNIMS, the cumulative number of deaths is 65.
During the period 57 persons were discharged from CAPF (O), RIMS (4), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (36), PR Kakching (6), TK Ukhrul (3) and JNIMS (8) after they were found Covid-19 free on RT PCR test.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 10746. The number of active cases is 2642 (general Population – 2122 and central security personnel -520). The recovery rate is 74.80 percent, the control room, said.
