Imphal: As on Monday 192 persons from general population and 58 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases.
The positive cases were from RIMS — 52; JNIMS — 122; Ukhrul — 2; Thoubal — 4; Raj Medicity — 9; Shija Hospital — 8; Tengnoupal — 2; Churachandpur — 1; Imphal East —1; Bishnupur — 3; Tamenglong — 8; Kangpokpi — 1; Babina — 21; Hillside — 2; Imphal West —14.
The positive cases from general population are from Imphal West — 56; Ukhrul — 2; Thoubal — 15; Bishnupur — 4; Kakching — 21; Tamenglong — 8; Churachandpur — 17; Imphal East — 57; Kangpokpi — 3; Senapati — 1; Tengnoupal — 8. All are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, state COVID-19 common control room said.
In the last 24 hours, one male aged 60 years from Imphal West expired at JNIMS. The cumulative number of deaths is 75, it added.
The total number of discharged persons is 129. They are from CAPF (8), Home Isolation (9), UNACCO (17), JNIMS (15), Lamding (11), Lamboikhongnangkhong (64) and Thoubal (5) after they were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR test, the control room said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 12,105 (general population — 9,642 and central security personnel — 2,463). The number of active cases is 2,696 (general population — 2,322 and central security personnel — 374). The recovery rate is 77.10 percent, it added.
