Minister Rajen inspects development works in two districts

Imphal: Education, fishery and CADA minister S. Rajen Singh has inspected various developmental works in different places of Kakching and Chandel district on Friday.

A reception programme of the minister was also organised at Kakching Khunou College in kakching district by the teachers and students of the college.

Rajen said that the government has launched the School Fagathanshi Mission. To achieve its objective, mutual understandings and cooperation between the concerned authority and educations staff is necessary. Enthusiasm and sincere service of the teachers is a must. Without the sincere service of the teachers, we can not give better and quality education to our children, he added.

Infrastructure is one of the most important components of a school or college. A good looking building can attracts guardians and students. Other things become secondary. The first impression is very much needed. As a result the government will try its best for improving infrastructures of government schools and colleges, minister added.

Rajen assured that memorandum submitted by the Kakching Khunou College Students’ Union will be considered and put to action after discussing with the concerned officials of the education department.

He said that construction of boys’ and girls’ hostels will be initiated according to availability of fund of the department.
​Mentioning about the New National Education Policy.

Rajen said knowing the need of introducing a new reform on education, the government has introduced this policy and this must be made effective and properly implemented. He also appealed to all concerned to be ready and cooperate with the new policies of the government for its effective implementation.

Later the ministerial team visited fishery farm and hatchery unit maintained by the fishery department at Langmeidong. Minister also inspected irrigation cannel along with the CADA officials.

Rajen also visited South Eastern Manipur College, Komlathabi and interacted with the teaching and non-teaching staffs of the college.
