Manipur records highest one day COVID-19 recovery of 440 mark

Imphal: A total of 440 COVID-19 patients were recovered during the past 24 hours by Saturday 5 pm while the day records 282 positive cases.

“The total number of discharged persons is 440. They are from CAPF-44, Home Isolation-303, JNIMS-7, RD Wing-3, UNACCO-12, Lamboikhong-34, Tamenglong-21. Kangpokpi-4, Thoubal-2, Senapati-1, Moreh-4, TK Ukhrul-5,” state COVID-19 common control room said.

“The recovery rate is 78.71 percent,” it said.

In the past 24 hours, 255 persons from general population and 27 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases. The positive cases are from JNIMS-19; RIMS-1:Swiss Hospital-1;Noney-1; Tengnoupal -3; Churachandpur -35; Imphal East -7; Bishnupur-11; Remedy Hospital- 1; Ukhrul-9; Thoubal-11; IRL-1; Kamjong-7; Imphal West-106; Kangpokpi-7; CMC-3; Jiribam-5; Acme-l; Mother’s Care-2; Jivan Hospital-4; Babina Diagnostics-23; Raj Medicity-2; Asian Hospital-4; Advance-2; Tamenglong-5; Shija-11, it added.

The new positive cases from general population were from Imphal West-131; Imphal East-44; Kangpokpi-4; Jiribam-5; Senapati-1; Thoubal-15; Noney-1; Tengnoupal -3; Churachandpur-17; Tamenglong-4; Chandel-3; Bishnupur-13; Ukhrul-7; Kamjong-7.

“Ten persons (IE-4, IW-1, Cepr-5) are returnees while the rest are locals without any significant travel history,” the control room said.

“They are being shifted to the Covid Care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” it added.

In the last 24 hours, one male aged 55 years (Thoubal) and 70 years (Imphal West) expired at Raj Medicity and Shija Hospital respectively. The cumulative number of deaths is 88, it said.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 13,092 (general population – 10,568 and central security personnel – 2,524). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 10,306 (general population -8,130 and central security personnel – 2,176). The number of active cases is 2,698 (general population – 2,354 and central security personnel – 344).
