Imphal: On Sunday Manipur recorded fresh 234 COVID-19 positive cases, 198 recovery and three Covid-19 related death.
In he past 24 hours, 222 persons from general population and 12 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases.
The positive cases are from JNIMS – 36; RIMS-1; Imphal West – 117, Thoubal -4; Acme – 1; Maipakpi – 7; Tengnoupal – 1; Churachandpur – 11; Raj Medicity – 3; Imphal East 8; Bishnupur 9; Kakching – 3; RD Wing 1; Swiss Clinic 1:
Ukhrul – 3; Tamenglong – 8; Babina Diagnostics – 14; Shija – 2; Kangpokpi – 1; Advance-1; Jiribam – 2, COVID-19 common control room said.
The positive cases from general population are from Imphal West – 132; Imphal East-37; Thoubal – 7: Kangpokpi – 1; Jiribam – 2: Noney – 1; Senapati – 1; Ukhrul – 2: Kakching – 3; Bishnupur – 12; Tamenglong -8; Tengnoupal – 2; Churachandpur -14, it added.
“Only three from Imphal West are returnees while the rest are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the Covid care facilities,” the control room said.
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.
During the 24 hours three persons aged 64 years (female, Imphal West), 70 years (female, Churachandpur) and 87 years (male, Imphal East) expired at RIMS, home and JNIMS respectively. “The cumulative number of deaths is 91,” it said.
A total of 198 patients were discharged from CAPF – 1; home isolation – 45, JNIMS – 2; PR Kakching 1: UNACCO – 29. Noney-2, Lamboikhong-51; Bishnupur – 20; JNV Chandel – 10; TK Ukhrul – 3; CCC Thoubal – 10; Senapati – 3; Moreh- 3; Jiribam – 9; CCC Lamding – 4; Kangpokpi – 5.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 13,326 (general population – 10,790 and central security personnel – 2,536). The number of active cases is 2731. The recovery rate is 78.82 percent, the control room said.
