Imphal: Dr Wahengbam Imo who was diagnosed with pneumonia after he got infected with COVID while performing his duty passed away on Monday at Apollo Hospital, Delhi.
He was first diagnosed at RIMS. Later he was shifted at Apollo, Delhi for further treatment after his lung got infected.
Dr Imo is among Imphal’s most recognized gynaecologist and Infertility specialist. He is proficient in identifying, diagnosing and treating the various reproductive health issues.
Among other services provided by the doctor Intrauterine insemination (IUI)Infertility Evaluation and Treatment, In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Reproductive Medicine may be mentioned.
Dr Imo was one among 26 IVF specialists selected from across the country and felicitated by the Economic Times.
He is a consultant Gynaecologist at Suba Hospital and Assisted Reproductive Centre.
The 26 IVF specialists were honoured with awards at a function held at Hotel Hyatt Regency in the year 2019.
He had 38 years of experienced as Gynaecologist and infertility specialists.
