COVID-19 related death toll reaches 117 mark, 11,913 recovered

Imphal: In the past twenty-four hours, 285 persons (149M, 136F) from general population and 30 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases.

The positive cases are from RIMS (52), JN1MS (132), IRL (1), Thoubal (4), Noney (5), Shija Hospital (3), Kangpokpi (6), Churachandpur (7), Imphal East (6), Bishnupur (1), Kakching (18), Tamenglong (45), Senapati (1), Sabina Diagnostics (16), CMC (2), Advance Hospital (2), Samaritan Hospital (1) and Raj Medicity (13).

The positive cases from general population are from Imphal West (62), Imphal East (79), Thoubal (17), Noney (5), Kangpokpi (2), Kakching (21), Ukhrul (1), Chandel (1), Tamenglong (45), Churachandpur (45), Tengnoupal (5), Senapati (1) and Bishnupur (1). 17 from Imphal West are returnees from other states while the rest are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the COVID Care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.

One male aged 53 years from Churachandpur expired at District Hospital, Churachandpur. The cumulative number of deaths is 117.

The total number of discharged persons is 172. They are from CAPF (2), Home Isolation (11), JN1MS (2), RIMS (6), Thoubal (7), PR Kakching (2), UNACCO (38), Lamboikhong (69), Senapati (4), DH Chandel (1), RD Wing (22), Sadhbhavna (2), Lanva (2), Jiribam (2) and Bishnupur (2).

The cumulative number of positive cases is 15,778 (General Population – 13,105 and Central Security Personnel – 2,673). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 11,913 (General Population – 9,561 and Central Security Personnel – 2,352). The number of active cases is 3,748 (General Population – 3,431and Central Security Personnel -317). The recovery rate is 75.50 %.
