COVID-19 related death toll rises to 132

Imphal: In the last 24 hours till Friday 5 pm, five COVID-19 patients expired in Manipur.

The expired patients were a 73 years (male, Churachandpur), 22 years (male, Churachandpur), 50 years (female, Chandel), 59 years (female, Imphal East) and 59 years (female, Imphal West).

They expired at Home Isolation, JNIMS, District Hospital Chandel and two at RIMS respectively.

The cumulative number of deaths reached 132.

During the 24 hours, 154 persons from general population and two personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPE) were confirmed as new positive cases.

The positive cases were from RIMS (13), JNIMS (15), ACME (1), Kamjong (12), Public Hospital (1), Churachandpur (10), Imphal East (8), Senapati (2), Thoubal (3), Tengnoupal (3), Shija (11), Bishnupur (5), Imphal West (24), Kangpokpi (1),Raj Medicity (2), Jiribam (4), Jevan Hospital (1), Hillside Hospital (2), Chandel (2), Babina Diagnostics (13), Acme (1), Tamenglong (20), Advance Hospital (2).

The total number of discharged persons was 169. They were from CAPF (9), Home Isolation (13), MIS (4), UNACCO (42), LKK (55), Tamenglong (1), RD Wing(11), Moreh (1), TK Ukhrul (6), Thoubal (10), Bal Bhavan (4), Senapati (8), JNV Chandel (I), DH Chandel (1) and Lamding (3).

The cumulative number of positive cases was 16,777 (general population – 14,083 and central security personnel – 2,694). The number of active cases was 4,083 (general population – 3,783 and central security personnel -300). The recovery rate was 74.87 percent.
