206 tested positive for COVID-19, 212 recovered, 6 expired

Imphal: In Manipur in the past 24 hours till Tuesday 5 pm, 206 persons were tested positive for COVID-19, 212 patients were recovered from the contagion and six patients expired.

Of the total fresh positive cases 198 persons (97 males, 101 females) were from general population and seven were central security personnel.

The positive cases from general population were from Imphal West (93), Imphal East (27), Thoubal (27), Tengnoupal (1), Kangpokpi (7), Bishnupur (16), Kakching (2), Senapati (4), Churachandpur (7), Tamenglong (10), Jiribam (3) and Chandel (1). “All are locals without any significant travel history” COVID-19 common control room said.

In the last 24 hours, six persons aged 43 years (male, Thoubal), 75 years (male, Churachandpur), 37 years (male, Thoubal), 60 years (female, Imphal West), 57 years (male, Tengnoupal) and 63 years (male, Churachandpur) expired at RIMS, Home Isolation, Raj Medicity, RIMS, SDH Moreh and Home Isolation respectively.

Covid-19 related death toll reached 156.

At least 212 were discharged from CAPF (2), Horne Isolation (10), RIMS (26), LKK (46), UNACCO (5), PR Kakching (9), Lamding (5), RD Wing (7), Noney (26), Jiribam (1), Moreh (6), Sadhbhavna (6), LANVA (7), BAL Bhavan (24), Thoubal (10), Tamenglong (8), JNV Chandel (5), Senapati (2), Kangpokpi (2) and TK Ukhrul (5).

The cumulative number of positive cases was 17,809 (general population – 15,087 and central security personnel – 2,722). The cumulative number of recovered cases was 13,420 (general population – 10,990 and central security personnel – 2,430). The number of active cases was 4,233 (general population – 3,945 and central security personnel – 288).
