Imphal: In Manipur on Monday 232 persons from general population and 10 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases.
The positive cases from general population were from Imphal West (103), Imphal East (49), Thoubal (3), Tengnoupal (4), Kangpokpi (2), Ukhrul (4), Bishnupur (15), Kakching (6), Senapati (1), Churachandpur (7), Tamenglong (23), Jiribam (9) Noney (1) and Chandel (5). All were locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the COVID Care facilities.
COVID-19 common control room said in the last 24 hours, four persons aged 48 years (male, Imphal East), 67 years (male, Imphal West), 65 years (male, Imphal East) and 75 years (female, Imphal East) expired at RIMS, Shija Hospital and two at JNIMS respectively.
The cumulative number of deaths reached 160.
The total number of discharged persons was 163.
The cumulative number of positive cases was 18,051 (general population – 15,319 and central security personnel – 2,732). The number of active cams is 4,308 (general population – 4,018 and central security personnel – 290). The recovery rate was 75.24 percent.
