Imphal: Manipur on Sunday recorded 248 COVID-19 positive cases including one personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF).
The positive cases from general population were from Imphal West (86), Imphal East (77), Thoubal (13), Kangpokpi (9), Noney (1), Ukhrul (1), Bishnupur (25), Kakching (4), Senapati (2), Churachandpur (13), Tamenglong (13), Jiribam (1) and Chandel (2).
“All are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the COVID Care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” COVID-19 common control room said.
In the last 24 hours, three persons aged 70 years (male, Imphal West), 55 years (male, Thoubal) and 40 years (male, Imphal East). All of them expired at JNIMS, Imphal.
The cumulative number of deaths was 171.
The recovery rate was 80.34 percent.
