Imphal: Imphal-Jiribam road has been cut off as Irang Bridge along NH 37 road dollapsed on Sunday morning.
The bridge reportedly collapsed suddenly when a truck carrying sand was crossing the river.
The truck fell into the river. One person was trapped in the truck. (To be updated).
Irang Bridge is located at Taobam village in Manipur’s Tamenglong district, nearly 88 km away from state capital Imphal.
Imphal-Jiribam road is a lifeline for the people of Manipur.
