187 more free from COVID woes

Imphal: At least 187 COVID-19 patients were recovered in the past 24 hours as on Monday till 5 pm raising the recovery rate to 83.95 percent.

They were discharged from CAPF (4), Home Isolation (91), RIMS (5), JNIMS (2), LKK (21), LANVA (2), UNACCO (24), Sadbhavna (1), TK Ukhrul (1), RD Wing (5), JNV Chandel (5), Bal Bhavan (9), Bishnupur (4), Jiribam (1), Lamding (3) and Tamenglong (9).

During the day 178 persons from general population and four personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as fresh positive cases.

The positive cases from general population are from Imphal West (85), Imphal East (38), Thoubal (11), Bishnupur (7), Ukhrul (4), Tamenglong (20), Pherzawl (1), Kakching (1), Kangpokpi (1), Churachandpur (3), Chandel (2), Jiribam (4) and Senapati (1).

“All are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the COVID Care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” COVID-19 common control room said.

In the last 24 hours, one persons aged 69 years (male, Imphal West) expired at Shija Hospital. The cumulative number of deaths was 198, it added.

The cumulative number of positive cases was 20,558 (general population – 17,726 and central security personnel – 2,832). The cumulative number of active cases was 3,101 (general population – 2,851 and central security personnel – 250).
